Later . I'd like to know how the company suggests they be sharpened given this unique design. I also bought a Banjo Garden Fork and a set of Telescoping Ratcheting Anvil Loppers. In use they are very good and cut nicely, but now not so sure about longevity, perhaps I should have bought Fiskars or Gardena make instead.

. To solve this you need an M8 locking nut - ones with a nylon lining at one end. It needs to be thin as the bolt is not very long

Also a thin washer might be a good idea? Something I found was with the adjuster broken the nut securing the two halves of the shears comes loose and they can come apart. S&J are sending me a replacement Red adjuster and offered to replace the entire thing if required . This is my third Spear and Jackson tool purchase.
My only concern is the wavy edge on them might be hard to sharpen if/when that day comes that they need a fresh edge put on. Great for cutting and shaping our conifers.
They've been amazing to use already, and I think they'll be amazing for years to come. First of all the blue collars around the extending handles kept falling out of place so needed to be glued on ,then after less than 2 months since purchase this red plastic adjuster broke off which together is quite poor for what I assumed a quality brand such as S&J should be.
